M&P 9 SHIELD
9mm Para. cal., SFO, DAO, black or FDE (mfg. 2018 only) polymer frame, 3.1 in. barrel, 7 or 8 shot mag., choice of 3-dot sights or Tritium night sights (mfg. 2016-2017), with or w/o thumb safety, textured grip surfaces, stainless steel slide w/black Armornite finish, approx. 18 oz. Mfg. 2012-2021.

The ported barrel and slide on the Smith & Wesson® Performance Center® M&P® Shield™ reduce muzzle flip, greatly enhancing control for a lightweight semi-auto pistol. The extremely thin, compact design enables you to conceal the pistol easily, even when dressed in hot-weather clothing. The M&P Shield is a striker-fired weapon, built on a polymer frame with an embedded stainless steel chassis system. The stainless steel slide features a black Armornite® finish that resists the corrosive effects of sweat and humidity. Sharp edges on the slide have been beveled or rounded to aid in concealment; and fish scale slide serrations provide a non-slip grip while chambering rounds or clearing the weapon. The Performance Center M&P Shield has front and rear fiber optic sights, dovetailed to the slide for easy replacement. A Performance Center sear enhanced trigger provides a short, crisp, and consistent trigger pull, featuring an audible and highly tactile reset. The single-sided thumb safety is quickly engaged, without being obtrusive to concealment. An oversized trigger guard accommodates shooters wearing gloves. The Performance Center M&P Shield Semi-Auto Pistol fieldstrips easily without having to pull the trigger first. Ships with 2 magazines.
